What to do in an emergency
僅 The system with compressor and sealing compound seals most tire punctures caused
by nails or similar objects and reinflates the tire. However, larger punctures or sidewall
damage cannot be sealed completely.
僅 After ensuring that the tire is properly sealed, you can drive cautiously on the tire (for a
distance of up to 200 km (120 miles)) at maximum speed of 80 km/h (50 mph) in order
to reach a service station or a tire dealer to have the tire replaced.
僅 Avoid abrupt steering or other driving maneuvers if the vehicle is heavily loaded or if a
trailer is in use. For more details, refer to "Safe use of Tire Mobility Kit" on page 8-21.
僅 Take out the remover tool in the Tire Mobility Kit. Insert the tool to the hole and pull out
the wheel cover.
僅 When reinstalling the repaired or replaced tire and wheel on the vehicle, tighten the
wheel lug nut to 11~13 kgf・m (79~94 lbf・ft).
