Driver assistance guide
僅 Warning Volume: Select [[Settings → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Warning Meth-
ods → Warning Volume]] on the infotainment system, and adjust the warning volume.
僅 Driving Safety Priority: Select [[Settings → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Warning
Methods → Driving Safety Priority]] on the infotainment system. The audio volume is
reduced for safe driving while a warning sounds.
NOTE
僅 Ensure that Warning Methods you have set may apply to the Warning Methods of
other driver assistance systems.
僅 Warning Methods will maintain its last setting even if the vehicle is restarted.
僅 The setting menu may not be available for your vehicle depending on the vehicle fea-
tures and specifications.
Safe Exit Warning operation

僅 The following warning message will appear on the LCD display.

Safe Exit Warning warns the following actions.
僅 Collision warning when exiting vehicle

Warning message: Watch For Traffic
The warning light on the side view mirror will blink and the warning message will appear
on the cluster, and an audible warning will sound.
僅 Safe Exit Warning will warn under the following circumstances:
- Your driving speed: below 3 km/h (2 mph)
- The speed of the approaching vehicle from the rear: above 6 km/h (4 mph)
WARNING
僅 For your safety, change the Settings after parking the vehicle at a safe location.
僅 If any other function's warning message is displayed or audible warning is generated,
Safe Exit Warning message may not be displayed and audible warning may not be gen-
erated.
僅 You may not hear the warning sound of Safe Exit Warning if the surrounding is noisy.
僅 Safe Exit Warning does not operate in all situations or cannot prevent all collisions.
僅 Safe Exit Warning may warn the driver late or may not warn the driver depending on the
vehicle and driving conditions. Always check vehicle surroundings.
僅 The driver and passengers are responsible for accidents that occur while exiting the
vehicle. Always check the surroundings before you exit the vehicle.
NOTE
僅 After the vehicle is turned off, Safe Exit Warning operates for approximately 3 minutes,
but turns off immediately if the doors are locked.
僅 Images or colors may be displayed differently depending on the instrument cluster
specifications or theme.
