Operation
僅 For Europe
- Air conditioning will turn ON. Air intake control will change to Fresh mode. Mode will
change to defrost to direct airflow to the windshield. Fan speed will increase.
僅 Except Europe
- Air conditioning will turn ON. Air intake control will change to Fresh mode. Fan speed
will increase. Mode will change to defrost to direct airflow to the windshield.
Canceling or resetting auto defogging
Operation
僅 When you press the front windshield defogging button, the button indicator turns on.
僅 Pressing the front windshield defogging button again, button indicator will turn off and
returns each button to the previous setting state before selecting front windshield
defogging.
僅 When the window defogging function is enabled, the air intake control is automatically
set to outside air, and the air conditioner operates automatically depending on the out-
side temperature.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to the conductors bonded to the inside surface of the rear window,
never use sharp instruments or window cleaners containing abrasives to clean the win-
dow.
NOTE
僅 When the air conditioning is turned on by Auto defogging system, if you try to turn off
the air conditioning, the air conditioning will not be turned off.
僅 To maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the Auto Defogging System, do not
select Recirculation mode while the system is operating.
僅 When the Auto Defogging System is operating, the fan speed adjustment knob, the tem-
perature adjustment knob, and the air intake control button are all disabled.
僅 Do not remove the sensor cover located on the upper end of the driver side windshield
glass.
Damage to system parts could occur and may not be covered by your vehicle warranty.
僅 If the battery (12V) is discharged or disconnected, Auto dehumidify settings will be reset.
Readjust the settings to turning Auto dehumidify option ON or OFF. For detailed infor-
mation, refer to Navigation Quick Reference Guide.
Defrosting/defogging the windshield
Operation
1. Set the fan speed to the desired position.
2. Select the desired temperature.
