Instrument panel button (1)
Operation
1. Press the hood unlock button (1) located on the instrument panel twice. After pressing
the button once, you must press it again within about 3 seconds to unlock the hood.
After about 3 seconds, the pressing count is reset, so you have to press the hood to lock
it and repeat the previous process.
2. Lift the unlocked hood upwards.
3.Lift the hood halfway and it will fully open by itself.
4.After lowering the hood, push it all the way down and close it.
Smart key button (2)
Operation
1. Press and hold the hood unlock button (2) on the smart key for approximately 1.5 sec-
onds to unlock the hood.
2. Lift the unlocked hood upwards.
3.After lowering the hood, push it all the way down and close it.
WARNING
僅 Open the hood after turning off the vehicle on a flat surface, shifting the gear to the P
(Park) position and setting the parking brake.
僅 Before closing the hood, ensure that all obstructions are removed from the hood open-
ing. Closing the hood with an obstruction present in the hood opening may result in
property damage or severe personal injury.
僅 Do not leave gloves, rags or any other combustible material in the motor compartment.
Doing so may cause a heat-induced fire.
僅 Always double check to be sure that the hood is firmly latched before driving away. If it
is not latched, the hood could open while the vehicle is being driven, causing total loss of
visibility, which might result in an accident.
僅 Do not move the vehicle with the hood raised. The view will be blocked and the hood
could fall or be damaged.
僅 If the hood is not closed completely, the vehicle speed will be limited.
NOTE
Operate the hood unlocking lever if the hood does not open due to low temperature, etc.
