Overview
Tissue and bone features
The G-Arm system comes with two exclusive features for generating the flu-
oroscopic images of soft tissues and limbs, which offers higher degree of vis-
ibility and recognition. These two features are:
Tissue (applies to all fluoroscopy modes)
Bone (applies to all fluoroscopy modes)

py mode, the mA will be reduced by half, namely, 15 mA (1-plane imaging) or
15 mA (2-plane imaging).Tissue & Bone Features" (p83).
7.1.1

Bi-plane real-time fluoroscopy

One of the substantial features that the G-Arm system offers is fluoroscopy
in both the AP & LT planes.
Bi-plane fluoroscopy works only in the pulse fluoroscopy modes.
Press the AP/LT footswitch pedal (blue-yellow-colored), the G-Arm system
takes exposures and generates fluoroscopic images in both AP and LT
planes simultaneously. This feature is available only when the G-Arm system
is equipped with 3-pedal footswitch.
If the G-Arm system is in the continuous modes when the AP/LT footswitch
pedal is pressed, the G-Arm system will automatically activate the pulse
modes to complete the request.
7.1.2

Default mode after startup

Automatic Pulse Fluoroscopy is the default mode when the G-Arm system is
started.
7.1.3
Recommended mode for different clinical ap-
plications
Lower dosage is always a wise choice if higher image quality is not a primary
demand; use the Half-dose Fluoroscopy mode or decrease the loading fac-
tor values wherever possible to reduce the dose absorbency of patients as
well as physicians.
In most clinical applications, it is recommended to use automatic fluorosco-
py modes to allow the G-Arm system to determine the dosage for you.
The following table lists the recommended fluoroscopy modes for some
particular body parts:
