Measuring Accuracy of Tube Voltage
The accuracy of the X-ray tube voltage shall be inspected once a year, which
requires the following instrument:
No.
1
Take the following procedure:
STEP 1
STEP 2
XGB6-12-1014, Rev 1.04
Turn on the G-Arm system.
Set the SID to 910 mm. Place a 20 cm thick PMMA rectangular block
with sides ≥ 25 cm as close as possible to the image intensifier.
Perform AEC sequence in each mode as described in the following
table, and record the values of current time product and kV value
displayed on the G-Arm system.
The deviation between the derived mAs and the reference mAs shall
not exceed ±(10% + 0.2 mAs), the deviation between the derived kV
and the reference kV shall not exceed ±10%.
The measured values of the current time product and tube voltage
shall be within the value ranges as indicated in the PCT (mAs) col-
umn of the following table:
Current (mA) Time (s) PCT (mAs)*
Instrument
Dose meter
Place the dose meter detector on the center of the surface of image
intensifier acceptor, and then turn on the G-Arm system.
Activate Manual Continuous Fluoroscopy mode.
