Chapter 5 - Operating Controls
To obtain the best image quality, the SID value shall be adjusted to about
100 cm during fluoroscopic imaging.
At any SID, when both the iris and shutters of a collimator are opened as
wide as they can through the adjustment keys on the control panel, the ac-
tual X-ray radiation field will remain 25 cm, with a deviation range of ±2% of
the current SID.
Collimator preview
When the collimator control keys are used, on the corresponding viewing
monitors, collimator preview will be displayed to simulate the collimator
shapes and imitate their movements. This is helpful for the operators to get
a hint of the collimator status at any time.
Note: The previewing lines appear only after a control command is issued, and
will retain on screen for a few seconds.
