To verify the connection:

Configure a network connection
You can set up a network connection and perform a connection test by spec-
ifying an IP address and send a ping command to that address.
To perform a network connection test:

On the DICOM Server Setup screen, select an application entity
from the list, and then click Verify.
After a while, a message dialog appears, reporting that whether or
not the connection to the selected application entity is successfully
established.
On the DICOM Server Setup screen, click Network Config.
Under Local Settings, clear the Use DHCP check box if you want to
manually provide the network information for the local host; other-
wise, please have it checked and skip to STEP 4.
Provide the IP address, subnet mask, gateway address, and the DNS
information. If you want to keep the local network settings, click
Save.
Under Server Test, type the server IP address, and then click Ping.
A message dialog will appear after a while, telling you whether or
not the network connection to the specified destination is working.
