Locking the Equipment in Position
Both the Control Unit and the G-Arm can be locked in place to prevent unin-
tentional movements. The Control Unit and G-Arm both have a brake pedal
to hold the locking wheels in position.
XGB6-12-1014, Rev 1.04
Unplug the power cord (L1). Disconnect the interconnect cable (L2)
from the G-arm assembly. Disconnect any other external connec-
tions like footswitch cable (L3), protective earth cable (L4), etc.
Unlock the wheel brakes on the locking wheels on the G-Arm.
Guide the G-Arm to the destination using the handles.
As indicated in Figure 4-11 (p54), use the tube handles (2), arc arm
handle (3) and I.I. handle (4) to move the G-Arm. If the G-Arm is out-
fitted with a steering unit, you can also use the handles (1) on the
steering unit.
Do not pull or push the I.I. handle (4 in Figure 4-11 (p54)) with excessive
strength in attempt to move the G-Arm. Use it gently to guide the G-
Arm during transport.
When you reach the destination, apply the wheel brakes.
The G-Arm system uses a separable plug as the isolation means. Do
NOT position the G-Arm system in a place where it is difficult to discon-
nect the equipment from the power supply.
