Inspect the power cable and protective earth cables. Make sure they
look intact and undamaged.
Check the connections. Make sure they are both securely connect-
ed.
Before starting to inspect the I.I. movements, clear all the obstacles
within the movement range to make sure the image intensifiers do not
collide with any objects.
Start up the equipment.
On the Control Panel, press any movement key to move the Image
Intensifier on either plane towards either direction.
Check whether the image intensifier can move smoothly without
any abnormal noise and can reach the maximum or minimum SID.
Perform the same operations on the other Image Intensifier and
check whether it works as expected.
If the equipment has not been used for an extended amount of time
(over 30 days), turn it on and leave it idle without taking any exposures
for 2~3 hours in order to maintain the required vacuum in the image
intensifier.
Before service engineers can begin any maintenance, cut off the power
supply so that the high-voltage capacitor can be fully discharged. This
is to avoid potential hazards of electric shocks.
The image intensifier is unable to bear the shock or vibration accelera-
tion of more than 1 g for 6 milliseconds (1 g = 9.8 m/s
Wear protective gloves or visors to avoid any possible injuries during
maintenance.
