Configuring the SMTP Server
1. Access the SMTP Server Menu from the Main Menu using the following path:
Path:
->Configuration->IP->SMTP
2. Enter the IP address for the SMTP Server. Ask your System Administrator if you are unsure of this IP
address.
3. Enter the email address of the ConneX user. This address should be the same as the address you
entered in the ConneX parameters.
4. Enter the ConneX User Name. (optional).
5. Enter a password so the user can access their email. (optional)
System Parameters
Assign a Name to the PBXgateway II
The MI provides a means of identifying the PBXgateway II on the network. This procedure explains the
method of assigning a name to the Gateway for identification purposes.
Note: This name is used strictly for ID purposes only. It is not an IP host name.
Procedure
1. Access the System Menu from the Main Menu using the following path:
Path:
->Configuration->System
** This is where the name of the Gateway is displayed. **
The System menu has the following parameters:
•
Name
•
Console Baud
•
Modem Baud
•
Modem init string
2. Press the → key and type in a name for the PBXgateway II.
Note: The name must not exceed 16 characters.
3. Press the ← key to accept changes and go back to the Configuration Menu.
4. Press the ↓ key to the Save parameter.
5. Press Enter to save changes to the active config (.swt) file.
