Procedure
1. Access the IP Address menu using the following path:
MI Path:
->Configuration->IP->LAN (or AUX_LAN)->Address
The following menu appears:
2. Press the → key to access the parameters
Note: The following parameters must be assigned by the network administrator.
3. Press the → key to the Address parameter. Enter the IP Address of the PBXgateway II and press
Enter.
4. Press the ↓ key to the Subnet Mask parameter. Enter the IP Address of the Subnet Mask and press
Enter.
5. Press the ↓ key to the Default Router parameter. Enter the IP Address of the Default Router and
press Enter.
6. Press the ← and ↓ key to the Save option.
7. Press Enter to save changes to the active config (.swt) file.

SNMP Setup

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is used to monitor the PBXgateway II. SNMP can be
enabled and managed through a LAN Telnet session. The purpose of SNMP is to flag failures, or error
conditions with the Gateway and/or Remote units and to automatically notify the network administrator.
Error conditions are sent as SNMP "traps". See SNMP Setup on page 183, for more detail.
Procedure
8. Access SNMP configuration using the following path:
MI Path
Gateway->Configuration->IP->LAN->SNMP
