EXTender 1000 and 3000 Port Configuration

Note: The EXTender 1000 is supported on the DEFINITY protocol only.
Note: The EXTender 3000 is supported on the DEFINITY and Meridian protocols only.
Through the Management Interface, you can configure the PBXgateway II to provide full PBX functionality
to a single user client. The remote client can use either the EXTender 1000 over a PSTN connection, or
the EXTender 3000 over an ISDN connection.

Individual Port Configuration

1. Access the Port menu using the following path:
MI Path:
Configuration->Port->Ports X-(X+7)->Port_X
'x-(x+7)' represents a numeric sequence of ports, for example 1-8, or 9-16. For ports 1-8, 'x' = 1,
and (x + 7) = 8.
2. For proper operation, you must configure the following parameters for each authorized user:
Set the Enabled parameter to Yes to enable the port.
For the User ID, enter a unique numerical value in the field.
Enter a numerical Password. EXTender 1000 – PBXgateway II terminations only support passwords
of less than 10 digits.
Note: Do NOT enter letters as part of a password. Passwords must consist only of digits.
The CH2 Mode parameter determines how the second B channel (CH2) associated with the port will be
used: for voice traffic or for data.
3. Use the → key to set the value of the parameter to Data-Static or Data-Hunt. This enables a
complete network connection between the EXTender and the PBX.
