7. If the ports will use the EXTender 1000, set the Method parameter to G.729A. If you have the
EXTender 3000, select ADPCM32.
8. If the ports will use the EXTender 1000, set the Jitter Delay parameter to 1. If you have the
EXTender 3000, select 0.
9. For the other parameters, use the values shown in figure above.
10. Press the ← key to exit the menu, then save your changes.
11. Now access the Port menu as shown in the first step in Individual Port Configuration on page 106.
12. Set the Port parameters to their default values as shown in the figure below.

Notice that you must still set the User ID parameter, but you don't have to set the Password parameter.
You can set the password if the user wants to use a different password for the default configuration.
Otherwise leave the parameter blank.
Note: Do NOT enter letters as part of a password. Passwords must consist only of digits.
14. Access the Voice parameter menu, set the Voice parameters to the default values.
15. Save the settings and repeat these steps for other ports.
