3. Enter a digit in the Local Access Code. This parameter is a unique prefix that will be attached to the
dial string. This parameter tells the PBXgateway II which EXTender 7000 the call is coming from. You
will need to dial the Local Access Code and the Trunk Access Code when making a local call.
Example:
Trunk Access Code = 9
Local Access Code = 2
To place a local call dial 92 followed by the telephone number you wish to call.
Note: You must use a different Local Access Code for each EXTender 7000.

Synchronizing the MCK T1/PRI card with the Central Office

To synchronize the MCK T1/PRI card with the CO, you need to set the T1/PRI Port parameters located in
the Configuration->WAN->T1/PRI_Port(WAN3) menu structure. Set these values for the T1/PRI port
on the MCK T1/PRI card that will be used for Local Dialing.

Configuring the T1/PRI Port for Local Dialing

This configuration uses the left (Port1) PRI port for Local Dialing. These settings apply to both EXTender
7000 units.
1. Start the MI and access the T1/PRI Port (WAN3) menu with the following path:

Configuration->WAN->T1/PRI_Port(WAN3)->PRI_Port_1
The following menu appears:
2. Set the Enabled parameter to Yes.
3. Set the Clock Source parameter to T1PRI_Port1.
4. Set the Mode parameter to PRI.
5. Set the Node Type parameter to User.
Note: The T1/PRI card only supports User mode for the DMS switch type.
6. Set the Switch Type, Line Code, and Framing parameters with values provided by the Telco company
(CO).
Note: If you need AMI_ZCS line coding and/or D4 Framing you must use T1PRI_Port2 for local dialing
7. Select a value for the Line Build Out parameter to attenuate the signal before it leaves the extender.
Use a value recommended by the Telco company (CO).
8. Use the arrow keys to access the Channel Setup menu, as shown below:
