Configuration->Default->Port->
(Voice)
Description: Select voice compression method. Voice is compressed to reduce
bandwidth requirements.
Usage: Provides the system administrator with the ability to change the
compression method on a port-by-port basis.
Example: G.729A
Dependencies: PBXgateway II only. The network must provide adequate
bandwidth.

Mode
Configuration->WAN 1 or WAN 2
(WAN)
Description: Selects the WAN port connection type.
Usage: The WAN port of the PBXgateway II connects the unit to the network
device (i.e. CSU/DSU). The mode or interface type selects the protocol used by
the unit.
RS-232, RS-530, and V.35 for Synchronous connections
Dependencies: The mode must match the interface type of the network device.

Card Test
Description:.Tests the Modem Card in the PBXgateway II to verify functionality.
Usage: The Modem Card is used when teminating an EXTender 1000 to a
PBXgateway II.
Dependencies: Modem Card Manufacturing Test should be preformed when all
the 1000 units are in "R" state.
