Digital Telephone/PBX Features
All features of the PBX are maintained providing individual users seamless access to the corporate phone
system from remote locations.
Digital phones extended by the PBXgateway II have the full functionality of phones located in the
corporate facility.
Features include:

full access to voicemail

the use of the auto-attendant

the utilization of ACD systems and call accounting software
Mobile EXTender
Note: In order to use the Mobile EXTender feature, you must first configure the 2
the PBX/ECS port assigned to the remote user to accommodate analog voice.
The Mobile EXTender feature allows the PBXgateway II to support cellular and analog phones on
DEFINITY and Meridian systems. Mobile EXTension enables remote users (Road Warriors) to access
ECS and PBX ports via a PSTN analog connection. Using cellular technology, the user dials the number

associated with the 2
B channel (CH2) of a PBX or ECS port connected to the Gateway II; the Gateway
II "answers" the call, then processes the user's button presses (via DTMF tones) to simulate digital
handset actions. Audio is routed at the Gateway from its B1 (CH1) channel to the B2 (CH2) channel.
