Bridge contacts 3 + 7 of the plug

connection with adapter cables and
observe the read-out on the display.
Display 0:
End the test using the function 06 "End

output".
Replace throttle valve control unit
–
→ Chapter.
Display 1:
End the test using the function 06 "End
–
output".
Test voltage supply of throttle valve
–
control unit and cables to engine control
unit → Anchor.
If the voltage supply and the wiring o.k.:
– Replacing engine control unit
Continuing test if the read-out of the
display is always on 0
Unplug plug -1- from the throttle valve
–
control unit -2-.
Display 1:
End the test using the function 06 "End
–
output".
Replace throttle valve control unit
–
→ Chapter.
Display 0:
End the test using the function 06 "End
–
output".
Test voltage supply of throttle valve
–
control unit and cables to engine control
unit → Anchor.
If the voltage supply and the wiring o.k.:
– Replacing engine control unit
Check operating state
Connect vehicle system tester

-V.A.G 1552- and select address word 01
"Engine electronics". Engine idling.
– Select 08 for the function "read
