Use handheld multimeter to measure
–
voltage between the contacts 3 and 4 of
the connector at the wiring loom.
Specified value: 1.50...1.60°V
If the specified value is not reached,
– connect the test box -V.A.G 1598/22- to
the wiring loom of the engine control unit
→ Chapter.
Test wiring for open circuit, short circuit
– to positive and/or to earth, if necessary
repair:
Plug on wiring loom, contact
– If the wiring is O.K., replace engine control unit
