12-4-3. Setting up the BIOS

After the SSD has been replaced, check the BIOS. Change the settings while referring to the
settings stated in <Setting up procedures> if they are different from the standard values.
Note:
BIOS (Basic Input Output System)
This BIOS is an important program necessary to control the data input/output of
the computer (FX-1 in this manual). Therefore, always set up the BIOS with
great care. Additionally, note that this program is saved into the flash memory on
the CPU board.
12-4-3-1. Checking the recognition of the SSD
Check whether or not the BIOS recognizes the SSD correctly.
If any SSD or FDD, which can be operated, cannot be found after completion of the memory check,
the following message will appear.
No bootable device available
R - REBOOT
S - SETUP
At this time, pressing the <S> key will transit the screen to the BIOS setup screen.
(Pressing the <R> key will reset the operation.)
<Setting up procedures>
(1) Displaying the BIOS screen
Press the <DEL> key during memory check immediately after the power has been turned ON.
The following screen will appear after the screen has been transited to the BIOS setup screen.
Move the cursor (character highlighted portion) to a desired item you wish to change and press
the <Enter> key. The contents of the selected item are then executed.
