5-17. Replacing the STBL Motor

(1) Widen the rail width to its maximum level.
(2) Remove the support table fixing screws
(15 screws in total) to detach the support table
(3) Remove the encoder unit fixing screws
loosen the tension of the timing belt for driving of
the STBL ball screw and detach the timing belt
and encoder unit
(4) Remove the bracket fixing screws
the STBL motor assembly
torque supporter assembly.
(5) Loosen the set screw to detach the
torque supporter assembly from the
STBL motor assembly
When
installing
reassemble the components in the order of
steps (5) to (1).
Perform the following when reassembling.
• Adjust the gap between the torque
supporter and STBL motor.
• Adjust the tension of the STBL
driving timing belt.
• Place
the
support
horizontally.
• Obtain the support table offset.

The gap between the torque supporter and STBL
motor must be adjusted to 1.1 mm.
