1-4. Replacing the Magnescale
(1) Detach the magnescale head from the bracket.
(2) Detach the old magnescale.
(3) Degrease the magnescale mounting surface and magnescale completely.
Note 1: Before replacing the magnescale, leave a new magnescale near the machine for
1 hr. or longer so that its temperature becomes the same as that of the machine.
Note 2: It is recommended to use "Mechafine Mate" for the degreasing agent.
Note 3: Horizontal deviation amount of the magnescale to the specification value:
±
0.1mm or less
Note 4: Before replacing the Y-axis magnescale, paint it evenly with a black oil felt pen.

1-4-1. X-axis Magnescale Affixing Position (For FX-1R, see Section 1-8-1.)

(1) Put the φ 4-parallel pin at eight locations of the X-beam.
(2) Affix the magnescale with the φ 4-parallel pins used as guide.
