Draining the Tank

Lowering the drain chute and opening the drain valve

WARNING! Hot! Risk of burns. Wear heat-protective clothing, safety

goggles, and/or heat-protective gloves.

1. Relieve the system pressure. Refer to Relieving System Pressure at the

beginning of this section.

2. Remove the front panel from the melter by loosening the four latches.

See Figure 5-1.

3. Lower the drain chute and place a suitable container under it to collect

the material you will be pumping from the tank.
