1. Changing Alias on Setting Screen
The following are steps using Keysight I/O Libraries Suite 15.
Step 1. From your PC's Start menu, click Program - Keysight IO Libraries Suite -Keysight
Connection Expert to open the setting screen.
Step 2. In the setting screen, select the alias names from
this PC
menu bar.

Step 3. Change the VISA alias in the VISA Alias dialog box and press

Control using C or Visual Basic
You can control the E4981A by programming using SICL/VISA with Visual C++ or Visual
Basic in a Windows environment. For further information on controlling the E4981A, see
the manual for SICL or VISA. For Keysight I/O Libraries Suite, use Keysight I/O Libraries
Suite 15.
You may employ aliases in programming using SICL/VISA.
The following example shows an OPEN command to control the E4981A, for which the
alias is E4981A_USBIF.
