CHAPTER 3 Settings and Measurement
(5)-2 Station setting
When connecting to the commercially available wireless LAN base unit and controlling multiple GL240s
from PC, the e-mail send/receive function of the GL240 and Internet connection are available. (The following
conditions is required to use them.)
• PC connectable to Wireless LAN.
• Wireless LAN base unit (Wi-Fi-authenticated devices equipped with wireless LAN base unit functions)
• Internet connection environment when connecting to the Internet.
(Internet provider's contracts and mobile carrier's contract, etc.)
Internet connection and e-mail send and receive environments when sending and receiving the e-mail.
(E-mail and Web mail must be able to send and receive in the SMTP and POP3 via the Internet provider.)
Each station function must be set when the GL240 operates as a child unit.
When the station is selected in the wireless LAN settings and the wireless LAN is restarted, the following
screen is displayed.

SSID input
Perform the GL240 SSID (access point identification name) setting.
Up to 32 characters of the alphanumeric characters and symbols can be entered.
SSID search
The list of the wireless connections is displayed by searching the SSID. When the
wireless connection is selected from the list, it is displayed in the SSID input.
Automatic setting
This function allows you to perform the settings of the connection and security for
(WPS)
wireless LAN unit easily.
Select the Push button method / PIN method and then start the WPS automatic
setting.
Encryption
Perform the encryption setting.

WEP: Set the WEP key to 10 digits alphanumeric characters and symbols for the
WEP64 and to 26 digits alphanumeric characters for the WEP128.
WPA-PS/WPA2-PSK: Set the password in 8 to 63 alphanumeric characters and
symbols.

Select whether or not to use the wireless standard 11n.
Reflection of
Reflect the settings of the encryption method, WEP key, and password.
