7.1 8-Bit Timer/Event Counter Functions

The following two modes are available for the 8-bit timer/event counter incorporated in the µ PD780208
Subseries.

• 8-bit timer/event counter mode:

• 16-bit timer/event counter mode: Two-channel 8-bit timer/event counter used as 16-bit timer/event counter

• Interval timer
• External event counter
• Square-wave output
