Automatic restart
The automatic restart includes two different functions:
● The inverter automatically acknowledges faults.
● After a fault occurs or after a power failure, the inverter automatically switches-on the motor
again.
The inverter interprets the following events as power failure:
● The inverter signals fault F30003 (undervoltage in the DC link), after the inverter line voltage
has been briefly interrupted.
● All of the inverter power supplies have been interrupted - and all of the energy storage
devices in the inverter have discharged to such a level that the inverter electronics fail.
Setting the automatic restart function
Danger to life as a result of machine parts unexpectedly starting
When the "automatic restart" function is active (p1210 > 1), the motor automatically starts
after a power failure. Unexpected movement of machine parts can result in serious injury and
material damage.
● Block off hazardous areas within the machine to prevent inadvertent access.
If it is possible that the motor is still rotating for a longer period of time after a power failure or
after a fault, then you must also activate the "flying restart" function.
Using p1210, select the automatic restart mode that best suits your application.
