Output reactor

Output reactors reduce the voltage stress on the motor windings and
the load placed on the inverter as a result of capacitive recharging
currents in the cables. An output reactor is required for shielded motor
cables longer than 50 m or unshielded motor cables longer than 100 m.
The figure on the right-hand side shows as example the output reactors
for PM240-2 Power Modules, FSB and FSC.
NOTICE
The output reactor is damaged if the inverter pulse frequency is too high
The output reactors are designed for pulse frequencies of 4 kHz. The output reactor can
overheat if the inverter is operated with pulse frequencies > 4 KHz. Excessively high
temperatures damage the output reactor.
● Operate the inverter with an output reactor with a maximum pulse frequency of 4 kHz.
