Destruction of the analog input as a result of the excessively high input current
The 10 V or 24 V voltage source will destroy the analog input if the operating mode selector
switch is set to "Current input" (I).
● Set the operating mode selector switch of the analog input to voltage (U).
Defining the safety-related input
You require a safety-related input to activate a safety function via the inverter terminal strip.
You can find additional information on safety-related inputs in the description of the STO safety
function.
Note
Control Units CU240B-2 and CU240B-2 DP do not have a safety-relevant digital input.

Safe Torque Off (STO) safety function (Page 231)
To use an analog input as additional digital input,
you must interconnect the corresponding status pa‐
rameter r0722.11 or r0722.12 with a binector input
of your choice.
You may operate the analog input as digital input
with 10 V or with 24 V.
The inverter combines two digital inputs to create a safety-re‐
lated input.
