Front Brake Caliper Inspection - Honda CR 125R 2002 Sevice Manual

If
necessa
ry, lightly apply compressed air to the
cal iper fluid inlet to get the piston out.
Place the shop rag under the caliper to cushion the
piston when it is expelled.
Use the air in short sp urts.
Do not bring the air nozzle too
close to
the inlet or
the pistons may btl forced out with excessive force
that could cause injury.
Push the dust seals and piston seals in and lift them
out .
CAUTION :
Be careful not to damage the piston sliding surlace.
Clean the seal grooves, cali per pistons and cali per
piston sliding surfaces with clean brake fluid.
INSPECTION
Check the cali per cylind er and pistons for scoring,
scratches or damage.
Measure t he cali per cylinder 1.0.

SERVICE LIMIT:
2000: 26.89 mm /1.059 in)
After 2000: 26.85 mm (1.051 in )
