GOVERNOR/VALVE LINKAGE
REMOVAL
Remove the following:
- AC valve cover and li n k (page
7 ~ 5)
- Right crankcase cover (page 9-3)
Remove the pinion gear bV removing the retaining
screw, washer and grommet.
Remove the governor assembly by pulling it off the
shaft.
INSPECTION
Inspect the pinion gear teeth for excessive wear or
damage.
Inspect the governor gear teeth for excessive wesr
or damage.
CAUTION:
Do
not d;sassemb/e the governor.
GOVERNOR SHAFT BEARING
REPLACEMENT
RIGHT CRANKCASE SIDE:
Remove the bea r ing using the special tooL
TOOl:
Bearing r emover, 7 mm
07931 - KA30000
not available in
U.S.A.
Orive i n the new bearing into the right crank case.
TOOL:
Bearing driver. 7 mm 07946 - KA30 100
not available in
U.S.A.
