HYDRAULIC BRAKE
INSTALLATION
Place the master cylinder assembly
on
the handlebar.
Align the end of the
mast
er cylinder with the punch
mark
on
the handlebar.
Install
the master
cylinder
holder with the
~UP"
mark
facing
up.
Tighten
the upper bolt first, then the lower bolt.
TORQUE: 10 N·m
11.0 kgf.m, 7Ibf.ft)
Al ign
the
brake hose eyelet
between
the stoppers.
Install the brake hose eyelet with the
oi
l
bolt
and
new sealing washers.
Tighten the oil bolt to the specified
torque.

REMOVAL
CAUTION
Avoid
spilling
fluid on
painted, plastic,
or rubber
parts.

NOTE:
When removing the
brake hose
bolt, cover
the
end
of
the hose to prevent contamination. Secure the
hose to prevent fluid from leaking out.
Drain the
brake
hydrau lic system (page
13-4).
Remove
the brake hose
oil
bolt,
sealing washers
and
brake hose.
Remove the
rear master cylinder
mounting bolts.
