Madison 400 cc
ELECTRIC STARTING
-
On both sides of the electric
circuit of the starting there are two
circuits: one refers to the side
stand and the other to the "engine
stop" of the right commutator (they
are both break systems of the
starting circuit); they control the
starting of the 1° relais (under the
instrument board), of the starting
motor and the starting system of
the "CDI" unit (electronic control
unit).
KEY COMMUTATOR
- Disconnect the 4-way commutator
of the commutator (F. 4)
- Connect the tester in OHM:
- Tester terminal (+) → blue/red
cable
- Tester terminal (-) → blue
cable
- According to the specification:
A) Key on "OFF": no continuity
B) Key on "ON": continuity
- Out of specification: replace the
key commutator.
The switching off of a 400cc.
Motor can be carried out by
stopping the direct current supply
to the electronic control unit, either
by switching the key on "OFF", or
by positioning the "engine stop"
switch on the symbol
positioning the motorcycle on its
side stand and removing a ground
from the electronic control unit.
ENGINE STOP SWITCH
(ENGINE STOP)
A) Disconnect the 6-way connector
and the 2-way connector of the ri-
ght commutator (F. 5)
- Position the "engine stop" switch
on the symbol
.
- Connect the tester in OHM:
- Tester terminal (+) → yellow/
white cable
- Tester terminal (-) → yellow/blue-
blue/white cable
- No continuity: replace the right
commutator.
- Continuity: continue searching.
DEMARRAGE ÉLECTRIQUE
- Le circuit électrique de démarrage
est assisté par deux circuits : l'un
étant relatif à la béquille latérale,
l'autre à la touche "engine stop"
du commutateur droit (les deux
systèmes d'interruption du circuit
de démarrage), qui contrôlent la
mise en marche du 1
(sous le tableau de bord), du
démarreur, et le système
d'allumage de l'unité "CDI"
(centrale électronique).
COMMUTATEUR A CLEF
- Déconnecter le connecteur à 4
voies du commutateur (F. 4)
- Connecter le testeur en OHM:
- Borne (+) testeur → câble
bleu/rouge
- Borne (-) testeur → câble
bleu
- Conforme aux indications :
A) Clef sur "OFF" : pas de
continuité
B) Clef sur "ON" : continuité
- Valeurs non conforme aux
indications : changer le
commutateur à clef.
L'extinction du moteur du
400cc se fait en interrompant
le courant continu à la centrale
électronique, soit en mettant la clef
sur "OFF", soit en positionnant le
bouton "engine stop" sur le
symbole
; or by
la béquille latérale, en enlevant une
masse à la centrale électronique.
INTERRUPTEUR ARRET
MOTEUR (ENGINE STOP)
A) Déconnecter le connecteur à 6
voies et le connecteur à 2 voies
du commutateur droit (F. 5)
- Mettre le bouton "engine stop" sur
le symbole
- Connecter le testeur en OHM:
- Borne (+) testeur → câble
jaune/blanc
- Borne (-) testeur → câble
jaune/bleu - bleu/blanc
- Pas de continuité : changer le
commutateur droit.
- Continuité : poursuivre la
recherche.

ARRANQUE ELECTRICO
- El circuito eléctrico de arranque
está unido a otros dos circuitos:
uno correspondiente al caballete
lateral y el otro al botón "engine
stop" del conmutador derecho
(ambos circuitos son sistemas de
interrupción del circuito de
arranque), los cuales controlan la
puesta en marcha del 1° relé
(debajo
del
cuadro
instrumentos), del motor de
arranque y el sistema de
encendido de la unidad "CDI"
(centralita electrónica).
CONMUTADOR DE LLAVE
- Desconectar el conector de 4 vías
del conmutador (F. 4)
- Conectar el tester en OHM:
- Terminal (+) tester → cable
azul/rojo
- Terminal (-) tester → cable
azul
- Valores iguales a los specificados:
A) Llave en "OFF": : no hay
continuidad
B) Llave en "ON": : hay continuidad
- Valores diferentes a los
especificados: sustituir el
conmutador de llave.
Para apagar el motor del
400cc
es
interrumpir el suministro de
corriente continua a la centralita
electrónica, colocando la llave en
posición "OFF" y el botón "engine
stop" en el símbolo
posicionando el caballete lateral y
quitando una masa a la centralita
electrónica.
INTERRUPTOR DE PARADA
MOTOR (ENGINE STOP)
A) Desconectar el conector de 6 vías
y el conector de 2 vías del
conmutador derecho (F. 5)
- Colocar el botón "engine stop" en
el símbolo
.
- Conectar el tester en OHM:
- Terminal (+) tester → cable
amarillo/blanco
- Terminal (-) tester → cable
amarillo/azul - azul/blanco
- No hay continuidad: sustituir el
conmutador derecho.
- Hay continuidad: continuar la
búsqueda.
