WS 5000 Series System Reference
Syntax
add <host_name> <IP_address> [domain]
Parameters
host_name
Gives a (local) name to the host.
IP_address
IP address of the remote host.
domain
Optional domain name of the remote host.
Example
WS5000.(Cfg).Event.Syslog> add SFhost 111.222.111.32 domain1
Adding Host...
Status: Success.

Syslog Context
Stores the debug logs locally and maintains a ring buffer of debug logs.
To save the logs to a file use the command:
save local <filename>
To view the logs use the command:
view local <filename>
To delete the logs to a file use the command:
remlocal <filename>
Syntax
local <enable | disable>
Parameters
enable/disable
Enable/disable the local syslog.
Example
WS5000.(Cfg).Event.Syslog> local enable
Local Syslog enabled
WS5000.(Cfg).Event.Syslog>

8.32.3 logdir

Syslog Context
This command displays the contents of all directories (one directory each for each user) under /WS5000
Switch/Userlogs/ <the local log log file saved with a .syslog extension>
