14.1 Method of Sending the DTMF Code
Sending the DTMF Code by Pressing a Key on the Keypad without Using the PTT
Switch (Keypad Auto PTT)
Pressing a key on the keypad allows the transceiver to start transmitting immediately and can send the DTMF code
corresponding to the key. This function can be used to send the DTMF code by pressing keys on the keypad without
pressing the PTT switch.
Note
This function is unavailable for NX-200S/ NX-300S.
Operating the Transceiver

Press the key corresponding to the DTMF code to be sent.
The transceiver sends the DTMF code.

Repeat Step 1 as necessary.
Configuration using KPG-111D/ DN
Assigning functions to the Keypad Operation on the transceiver (
Sending Entered DTMF Codes All at Once (Store & Send)
The DTMF codes to be sent can be temporarily entered beforehand using the keypad, then sent all at once. A maximum of
30 digits can be transmitted in a single operation.
To use this function, Store & Send must be enabled using KPG-111D/ DN.
The transceiver can enter Autodial Mode and the DTMF code can be entered using one of the following operations:
 Autodial key
Pressing the Autodial key causes the transceiver to enter Autodial Mode.
 Menu key
Pressing the Menu key places the transceiver in Menu Mode, and then the transceiver enters Autodial Mode by
selecting "Autodial". (Refer to
 Keypad entry
If "Autodial" is configured for Keypad Operation, pressing a key(s) on the keypad causes the transceiver to enter
Autodial Mode. The transceiver will be on hold as the first digit of the DTMF code is entered. (Refer to
Operation on page
21.)

This function is unavailable for NX-200S/ NX-300S.
