9.2 Control Channel Hunt

Configuring the Last Control Channel to be enabled or disabled (
Starting the Control Channel Hunt Manually (Forced Search)
Forced Search allows a user to manually start the test to acquire another control channel providing better conditions while
the transceiver is in the idle state after acquiring a control channel.
Following are hunt sequences to be used by Forced Search. (Refer to
Preferential Hunt Sequence
Normal Hunt Sequence
System Add Channel Sequence
Site Hunt Sequence
Comprehensive Hunt Sequence
Operating the Transceiver

Press and hold the
Search Mode Tone sounds from the transceiver, and then the transceiver will start the Forced Search.
The transceiver leaves the acquired control channel and starts the hunt sequence, and then the transceiver proceeds to
search for another control channel using the Preferential Hunt Sequence. If a control channel is found, the transceiver
migrates to that control channel. In such a case, the transceiver is in the standby state after processing an acquisition of
control channel. If no control channel is found, the transceiver continues the hunt sequence.

The site number of the current control channel appears for 2 sec.
Note
Transceiver operation is identical even if "Site No." is selected after entering Menu Mode by pressing the Menu key.
