About Notations/ Abbreviations Used in this Document

About Notations

The following notations are used in this manual.
[ ]
The characters in [ ] indicate the name of the operating portion of the transceiver and the key of the PC.
" " (Double Quotation Mark)
The characters in " " indicate the name of the functions, buttons, and menus shown on the KPG-111D/ KPG-111DN or the
display of the transceiver.
Bold Letters
The characters in bold letters indicate the name of the windows, tabs, checkboxes in KPG-111D/ KPG-111DN and
functions assigned to keys on the transceiver.
[ ] + [ ]
This notation is used for describing functions activated by pressing 2 keys on the PC keyboard at the same time. For
example, the notation to enter a capitalized A on the PC is [Shift] + [a] for pressing the [a] key while pressing the [Shift]
key.
PF (Programmable Function) Key
This function is used for describing the key that is assigned with any function. When the Reset function is assigned to the
[A] key, the [A] key is described as "the Reset key".
Notations for transceiver model names
"Portable" and "Mobile" are designated in this manual as the generic name for a type of transceivers. Transceivers
applicable to Portable and Mobile are as follows.
Portable:
NX-200/ NX-200S/ NX-210/ NX-300/ NX-300S/ NX-410/ NX-411
Mobile:
NX-700/ NX-700H/ NX-800/ NX-800H/ NX-900/ NX-901
Notations for FPU names
KPG-111D and KPG-111DN are referred to collectively as "KPG-111D/ DN" in this document.
