Perform the following steps to observe the FM-SPAN
signal for FM spans (LO spans less than or equal to
10 MHz).

the span is increased.
Due to quantization errors, the display appears flat for
LO spans less that 500 kHz.
For the main-coil spans (LO spans greater than
10 MHz) the display is a flat line.
