* Optional Modules can only be used with the MP2100M/MP2101M.
To use Optional Modules with the MP2100M/MP2101M, the following devices are required.
• MP2100MEX interface board (JAPMC-EX2100)
• MP2200 base unit (JEPMC-BU2200 (-E) 100V type, or JEPMC-BU2210 (-E) 24V type)
• EXIOIF connection module (JAPMC-EX2200)

 What is the MP2100MEX?
IMPORTANT
The MP2100MEX is an interface board for rack extension for use with the MP2100M/MP2101M. When the
MP2100MEX is fitted to an MP2100M and they are installed in a computer, a maximum of three racks of
MP2200 base units (a maximum of 24 Optional Modules) can be connected by using EXIOIF cables and
EXIOIF Modules.
* 1. A maximum of 9 Optional Modules can be installed on each rack of the MP2200 base unit, making a
maximum of 24 Optional Modules (excluding EXIOIF Modules) with 3 racks.
* 2. The total length of EXIOIF cable must not exceed 6.0 m.
