6.2.1 Installing the Battery

6.2 Replacing the Battery

One battery can be connected to MP2100/MP2100M. This battery serves to back up the data recorded in the
MP2100/MP2100M so that it is not lost when the power supply to the MP2100/MP2100M is cut off.
6.2.1 Installing the Battery
Fully insert the connector attached to the end of the battery leads for the JZSP-BA01 Battery specified by
YASKAWA into the MP2100/MP2100M connector.
(1) JAPMC-MC2100, JAPMC-MC210-E, or JAPMC-MC214-E
Connect the Battery to the BAT connector on the front panel.
(2) JAPMC-MC2140
The battery connector on the MP2100M is the CN2 connector on the SVB Motion Module. The faceplate of the
MP2100M has a hole provided for the battery cable. Extend the JEPMC-W2092-B8 Relay Cable for Battery pro-
vided with the MP2100M and secure with a cable tie as shown in the following diagram.

6.2.2 Battery Life

The built-in battery can retain the contents of the memory until the total time of power interruptions reaches one
year. The warranty period of the battery is five years from the date of purchase. These values, however, differ
according to the operating conditions, including the ambient temperature.
If the BAT LED indicator on the MP2100/MP2100M lights, replace the battery with a new battery (JZSP-BA01)
within two weeks. Any delay in battery replacement will result in the data stored in the memory being lost.
