l
Current consumption
In the case of the MB89PV620, add the current consumed by the EPROM which is
connected to the top socket.
When operated at low speed, the product with a one-time PROM (OTPROM) or an EPROM
will consume more current than the product with a mask ROM. However, the current
consumption in sleep/stop modes is the same.

Mask options
l
Functions that can be selected as options and how to designate these options vary by the
product. Before using options, check Appendix C, "Mask Options."
Take particular care on the following points:
A pull-up resistor cannot be set for P40 to P47 on the MB89P625, MB89W625, MB89P627,
MB89W627, and MB89P629.
A pull-up resistor is not selectable for P50 to P57 of all products when an A/D converter is
used.
Options are fixed on the MB89PV620, MB89V623, MB89V625, MB89T623, and MB89T625.
(See Appendix C, "Mask Options.")
l
Clock monitor function
The clock monitor pin, which can confirm oscillation by a software setting, is provided on the
MB89628R, MB89629R, and MB89P629. For details, see Chapter 14, "Clock Monitor Function."
l
Operating mode (memory access mode)
As the MB89T623, MB89T625, MB89V623, and MB89V625 only support external ROM mode,
internal ROM cannot be used. The MB89628R, MB89629R, and MB89P629 only support single-
chip mode.
