Fluid leakage
POWER STEERING FLUID
Inspection
Fluid level
1. Check the power steering fluid level. Add fluid to the speci-
fied
~vel
if necessary.
Caution
• Use only the specified power steering fluid.
Fluid specification:
ATF M2C33F or DEXRON-ll
1. Start the engine. Turn the steering wheel fully to the left and right to apply fluid pressure. Check for fluid
leakage.
Caution.
• To prevent damage to the steering system, do not keep the steering wheel in the fully turned
position for more than 15 seconds.
Note
• The points where fluid leakage may occur are indicated by arrows in the figure.
