Differential assembly

• If removal is difficult, tap the differential rib with a
brass hammer.
1. Support the differential assembly with a jack during removal.
Installation Note
Differential assembly
1. Apply gasket to the differential housing mounting surfaces
and mounting bolts.
2. Support the differential assembly with a jack during instal-
lation.
Tightening torque:
W type: 49-54 N-m (5.0-5.5 m-kg, 36-40 ft-Ib)
Y type: 69-93 N-m (7.0-9.5 m-kg, 51-69 ft-Ib)
