Assembly Note
Adjustment shim (Front)
1. After measuring dimensions A and 8 shown in the figure,
use an adjustment shim(s), as specified below, of the thick-
ness corresponding to the value of A plus gasket thickness
O.3mm (0.012 in) minus 8, so that bearing end play will
be
within specification.
Bearing end play: 0-0.1 mm (0-0.004 in)
Adjustment shim thickness:
0.1 (0,004) 0.3 (0.012)
0.6 (0,024) 0.7 (0.028)
0.8 (0.031) 0.9 (0.035)
1.0 (0.039)

Oil Seal
Caution
• Do not damage the mainshaft splines.
1. Install the oil seal with the SST.
Center brake drum
1. Install the center brake drum.

and tighten the locknut.
Tightening torque:
