The front panel of an EX2200 switch has two chassis status LEDs labeled SYS and ALM
on the far right side of the panel. See

Table 6 on page 14
describes the chassis status LEDs in an EX2200 switch, their colors
and states, and the status they indicate.
Color
Green
Unlit
Amber
Red
A major alarm (red) indicates a critical error condition that requires immediate action.
A minor alarm (amber) indicates a noncritical condition that requires monitoring or
maintenance. A minor alarm that is left unchecked might cause interruption in service or
performance degradation.
Both LEDs can be lit simultaneously.
You can view the colors of the two LEDs remotely through the CLI by issuing the
operational mode command show chassis led.

State and Description
On steadily—The switch is functioning normally.
Blinking—The switch is booting.
Off—The switch is powered off or is halted.
There is no alarm or the switch is halted.
There is a minor alarm.
There is a major alarm.
