20-3. Roller Separation Control

This control prevents overlapped turnover during multiple copies. The control oper-
ates by disengaging the Transport Roller Drive Roller from the Transport Roller in
the event that the leading edge of a copied sheet arrives at the Transport Roller
before the trailing edge of the previous sheet has cleared this roller. Separation is
generated by activation of the Turnover Roller Separator Solenoid.
Activation of the Turnover Roller Interval Solenoid causes a lever to press against
the Turnover Roll, so that the Turnover Roller Drive Roller moves away from the
Turnover Roller.
