Terms in Settings
DNS Settings
The DNS servers used for resolving domain names to IP addresses.
MTU Setting
The Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) controls the maximum buffer size used
for inter-node communication in bytes. By default, it is 1500 bytes.
Incoming Packet Header Logging
When enabled, packets destined to or originated from CS-2001 are logged in
details, which are available under Monitoring > Logs > Traffic.
Link Speed / Duplex Mode Settings
Specifies the speed and duplex mode of a physical port.
Terms in Interface
Load Balancing Mode
Auto: Distributes the outward sessions by the usage status o f e ach WAN p ort.
(For multiple Internet connections at different speeds)
Round-Robin: E venly di s tributes t h e dow nloading s essions t o e ach WAN port.
(For multiple Internet connections at the same speed)
By Traffic: Distributes the downloading sessions by traffic.
By Session: Distributes the outward sessions by the setting of Saturated
Connections.
By Packet: Distributes the downloading sessions by the amount of packet.
By Source IP: For services that require using the same IP address throughout the
process, such as online game and banking, CS-2001 helps user retain the same
WAN port (i.e. IP address) over which the session was created to avoid
disconnection caused by the variation of the user's IP address.
By Destination IP: Once a session is created between the CS-2001 and a
specific host, then the following sessions linking to that host will be
automatically distributed to the same WAN port.
Port
The sequential number of a physical port.
