Oil Jet Removal and Installation

Oil Jet (For Cam Chain Tension Adjuster)
Removal
1) Remove the cam chain tension adjuster. Refer to
"Engine Top Side Disassembly in Section 1D
(Page 1D-24)".
2) Remove the oil jet (1).

Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal. Pay
attention to the following points:
• Apply engine oil to the O-ring.
CAUTION
!
Use a new O-ring to prevent oil leakage.
Oil Jet (For Cylinder Head)

Removal
1) Remove the cylinder. Refer to "Engine Top Side
Disassembly in Section 1D (Page 1D-24)".
2) Remove the oil jet (1).
Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal. Refer to
"Engine Top Side Assembly in Section 1D (Page 1D-
26)".
Oil Jet (For the Piston Cooling and Transmission)
Removal
1) Remove the engine assembly. Refer to "Engine
Assembly Removal in Section 1D (Page 1D-18)".
2) Separate the crankcases, upper and lower. Refer to
"Engine Top Side Disassembly in Section 1D
(Page 1D-24)" and "Engine Bottom Side
Disassembly in Section 1D (Page 1D-51)".
3) Remove the crankshaft assembly. Refer to "Engine
Bottom Side Disassembly in Section 1D (Page 1D-
51)".
4) Remove the piston cooling oil jets (1) from the upper
crankcase.
