00-7 Precautions:
• After using the tester, turn the power off.
Special tool
: 09900–25008 (Multi-circuit tester set)
NOTE
• When connecting the multi-circuit tester,
use the needle pointed probe to the back
side of the lead wire coupler and connect
the probes of tester to them.
• Use the needle pointed probe to prevent
the rubber of the water proof coupler from
damage.
• When using the multi-circuit tester, do not
strongly touch the terminal of the ECM
coupler with a needle pointed tester probe
to prevent the terminal damage or terminal
bend.
Special tool
(A): 09900–25009 (Needle pointed probe set)
Precautions for ABS
ABS Wiring
• The ABS parts are connected to various lead wires.
The coupler and lead wire connections, as well as the
lead wire and wire harness routings must be done
correctly. Make sure that the proper clamps are used
and positioned correctly.
NOTE
If all of the connections are not properly
connected, the ABS may not operate
correctly. For connector and coupler
precautions. Refer to "Precautions for
Electrical Circuit Service (Page 00-2)".

ABS Control Unit/HU
• Never allow dust or water to contact the ABS control
unit/HU.
• Never subject the ABS control unit/HU to strong
impacts or allow them to be dropped.

• The ABS control unit/HU cannot be disassembled.
Replace the whole unit with a new one.
