5C-9 Clutch:
• Apply SILICONE GREASE to the push rod end.
: Grease 99000–25100 (SUZUKI Silicone
Grease or equivalent)
• When installing the clutch lever position switch, align
the projection on the switch with the hole in the master
cylinder.
• Apply SILICONE GREASE to the clutch lever pivot
bolt when installing.
: Grease 99000–25100 (SUZUKI Silicone
Grease or equivalent)
Tightening torque
Clutch lever pivot bolt: 6 N·m (0.6 kgf-m, 4.5 lbf-
ft)
Clutch lever pivot bolt lock-nut: 6 N·m (0.6 kgf-m,
4.5 lbf-ft)

Clutch Master Cylinder Parts Inspection

Refer to "Clutch Master Cylinder / Clutch Lever
Disassembly and Assembly (Page 5C-8)".
Master Cylinder
Inspect the master cylinder bore for any scratches or
other damage.

Piston
Inspect the piston surface for any scratches or other
damage.
Rubber Parts
Inspect the primary cup, secondary cup and dust boot
for wear or damage.

Clutch Release Cylinder / Push Rod Removal
and Installation
Removal
1) Drain clutch fluid. Refer to "Clutch Fluid
Replacement (Page 5C-4)".
2) Remove the engine sprocket outer cover. Refer to
I717H1530031-01
"Engine Sprocket Removal and Installation in
Section 3A (Page 3A-2)".
3) Disconnect the clutch hose (1) by removing the
union bolt (2).
